A la Carte Perched above Alii Drive near the sand volleyball courts across from the ocean, the newly opened Foster’s Kitchen is a great place to partake in a variety of signature cocktails while enjoying stellar sunset views of Kailua Bay. Veteran Kona bartender, Michael Jensen, created the proprietary libations. Drinks are handcrafted with fresh juice, handmade syrups and no added preservatives or commercial mixes. Blended with local cold-pressed coffee and Kahlua, the White Road cocktail is named after a local, earlymorning adventure in Waimea. The Blackberry Peach Bramble blends housemade lemonade, Botanical gin, peaches and blackberries muddled in a mason jar. The Rosarito Margarita features hibiscus-infused Resposado tequila, while the Wele Paku combines spicy pineapple, Virgin Island rum, Aperol and lime. To kick off your night on the town, the Wild Thing is made with Hawaiian chili peppers, organic vanilla, Infuse vodka and coconut. Visited the restaurant first for Happy Hour. Great pupu’s and Mai Tai’s at the bar. Try the Pub Fries on the Appetizer menu. We then returned the next night for a full dinner of BBQ Baby Back ribs (falling off the bone) and Honey Fried Chicken. Both were great. So great, we returned the next night for burgers and fries.. One burger is big enough for two. We ran out of days before we could try the double cut pork chop or the pork shank. Something to look forward to next year. We could not believe how delicious all of the food was. My favorite was the salad with grilled shipped and Mahi. My kids loved the extra good hotdogs. Husband loved the pork sandwiches and hamburgers. We also had our favorite Hawaiian Shaved Ice here. Pizza was very good also.
