Sized for sharing, the Kalua Pork Potstickers are crispy and stuffed with succulent shredded pork. Rays regulars will be glad to know that old favorites are still on the menu, like the Fresh Troll Grilled Ahi, the always-popular Ray’s Burger, or the Ahi Poke Stack served with crispy won ton chips. Additionally, the revised wine list offers plenty of choices by the glass and bottle. Rays’ new signature cocktails are blended with muddled fruits and natural juices, served in glassware with tiki motifs. Presenting live music seven nights a week, Rays on the Bay has expanded its entertainment/cocktail area to the upper level near the restaurant’s entrance, where newly installed bar seating showcases fantastic ocean views. The bayfront restaurant at Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa also includes a recently upgraded private dining lounge perfect for company gatherings, special occasions or family reunions. With a daily breakfast buffet soon to be unveiled, Rays on the Bay has added a new, custom-built buffet clad in koa wood. Overlooking beautiful Keauhou Bay, the spot is Hawaii Island’s only restaurant for patrons to enjoy nightly live music by fire pits while also observing majestic manta rays in their natural habitat in the waters below the hotel. Open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the restaurant serves its full menu until 10:30 p.m., accommodating late-night dining and manta viewing. ■ Rays on the Bay features fireside dining above the surf.
