The atmosphere is comfortable, the attention to detail in the presentation of the food is fantastic, the service is attentive and friendly, but low key, and the food is rich with delicate flavors. Our friends who took us there are regulars, and they told us that everything on the menu is as good as what I experienced with my particular order. I highly recommend Fumi’s to anyone who wants a great meal at a very reasonable price. Takach Oceanside, CA Sam Choy’s Kai Lanai This restaurant has a great location situated above the Keahou shopping centre. It’s a fabulous place to watch the sunset each evening and have a drink and a meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the calamari to start followed by a very generous Lau Lau seafood dish which included prawns, fish and crab in a dill cream sauce and a Sam Choy poke which I had lightly seared The generous portions meant there was no room for dessert. On top of that we had service with a smile from our waiter. The atmosphere here is pretty amazing. You have a great view of the sunset (check times and get a reservation) while sitting outdoors with a cool ocean breeze. You can’t ask for a much better setting for a dinner in Hawaii. The service was quite good. Our waitress and accompanying staff were very friendly, prompt, and accommodating. The food didn’t disappoint either. From the appetizer to the soups, entrees, and dessert, the food was awesome! Great flavors, numerous selections, and good portion sizes (we left quite full at the end of the night). I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for fine dining and a great view and experience!
