A variety of cooking classes
are held in the store’s
demonstration kitchen.
“We’ve been hosting a lot of unique and
wonderful things here at The Spoon Shop,”
said Tracy. “The demonstration kitchen has
become a destination for a lot of different
functions. We have a gentleman, for example
who will be gifting his wife a private cooking
lesson in the kitchen and a sit-down dinner
with her friends. Last week, pastry chefs from
across the Big Island attended an amazing
chocolate workshop taught by Susan Notter, a
famous chocolate chef who has worked all over
Europe. It was so fun and exciting to see how
big, fancy chocolate sculptures get created.”
Offering essentials for the gourmet chef,
home cooks and foodies, The Spoon Shop
is stocked with an excellent selection of
kitchenware, utensils, specialty tools,
professional cutlery, hard-to-fi nd cookware
and culinary gadgets. The baking section
features everything from decorative baking
cups to bread-making products. There’s
also an extensive line of gourmet food items
including jams, sauces, condiments, pasta,
balsamic vinegar and imported olive oil.
