Low-Res Resolutions for 2019
I considered renting a limo for New Year’s Eve, but
unfortunately I spent big bucks on Christmas and now I
have nothing to chauffeur it. Frankly, me renting a limo was
a kind of a stretch to begin with. I’m Uber disappointed
about it, let me tell you.
I thought about staying up late to watch the ball drop at
Times Square, but the way the stock market’s been tanking these
days, watching anything drop that close to Wall Street is not my
idea of a good time.
I’ll admit I’m usually a party pooper on New Year’s Eve.
When the clock strikes 12, my head’s already struck the pillow
hours prior. Instead of champagne, I’m sipping sleepytime tea.
Truthfully, if I wanted to be in a room full of noisemakers and
people making promises they can’t keep, I’d run for Congress.
My New Year’s resolution this year is to set more
realistic goals by gaining weight and saving less money. I
guess I’ll sign up for the Procrastinator’s Club eventually.
Another resolution is to avoid things that make me fat…like
scales, mirrors and photographs.
To be honest, my last relationship with a fitness trainer never
worked out. I’m passive-aggressive about the gym. Every time I
see one, I pass it aggressively.
