HOLLYN JOHNSON/ Tribune-Herald 3 questions: Queen’s Court Restaurant Q: How will the Hilo Hawaiian be celebrating Thanksgiving this year? A: Thanksgiving is one of our busiest days at the Queen’s Court Restaurant. We will be offering a brunch and dinner buffet with more than 60 dish selections. We will have classics such as steamed snow crab clusters, prime rib of beef, roasted whole suckling pig and roasted turkey with cornbread-sausage stuffing. Brunch hours are 10:30 a.m-1:30 p.m. and dinner is from 4:30-9:30 p.m. We recommend making a reservation as soon as possible, as I hear that we are already filling up. Q: How about a sneak peek at what will be on the buffet menu in December? A: Each year, for the month of December, we add our Holiday Buffet on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Holiday Buffet will feature the all-time favorite steamed snow crab as well as a salad bar, seafood bar, pasta bar, a section of hot items, dessert bar and will include house beverages. If you are planning a large party, call Dallas at 969-6478. Q: Any new wines or drink specials? A: Our “Wine by the Glass” program and a signature cocktail list continue to grow. Thanks to the addition of our sommelier Wendy Kam, we brought in delightful worldly selections such as a Chenin blanc from Swartland, South Africa, by the winery Secateur. The revamped cocktail list features libations created by our own resident mixologist RJ and bar chefs. The Wai‘oli cocktail created after the lounge’s name remains a top seller and you can enjoy it half off during our daily happy hour from 4-6 p.m. Your weekend guide to East Hawaii Email your Island Beat announcements to entertainment@ hawaiitribune-herald.com
