The 14th annual Jingle Bell Beach
Run is Sunday, Dec. 16, at Coconut
Grove Marketplace.
Start time for the Christmasthemed
event is 7:30 a.m. and will
feature a 5K and Santa’s Keiki Dash.
This year, the event benefits the
Kiwanis Club, a nonprofit organization
dedicated to changing the lives
of children in need through their
involvement with youth programs
and meaningful community activities
on the Big Island.
Awards will be given to the top
three in each category: Overall,
5-year age groups, and best
Christmas costumes. Lots of raffle
prizes to follow.
Entry fee for the 5K is $30 until
Nov. 30 and $35 until Dec. 14.
Late registration will be accepted
at packet pickup on Dec. 15 from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Coconut Grove
Marketplace. No registration for the
5K on race day. Santa’s Keiki Dash is
free to children ages 6 and younger.
