Going on guided tours is
not something people typically
do in their hometown.
Why? Because they think
it’s a waste of time and
money I suspect. Growing
up on the Big Island, the
only tours I went on were
through school excursions. I
never took the extra effort to
explore beyond the nearby
North Kona and South Kona
beaches, which I regret.
After moving away and coming
back several years later,
I’ve made it a goal to get
know the landscape of my
home a little better.
