Bad to the Bone
Oh, give me a break! On second thought, please don’t.
Those of you who’ve been following my tale of woe will
recall I broke my wrist a couple of months ago. I’m here to
report that I’m singlehandedly making a slow recovery. It’s
been a disarming experience, to say the least.
I hurt my arm in several places, so now I don’t go to
those places anymore. At least I can type with one hand, but
it’s all shift work that feels like capital punishment. I’d give
my right arm right now to have a secondhand store nearby.
The doctor prescribed me physical therapy, which I
do weakly. I’d be telling a fibia if I didn’t admit I was trying
tibia little humerus just now. I’d say more but I’ll have to
bone up on my anatomy first. I try having conversations
with my orthopedic doctor, but he’s a little boneheaded to
be honest. He has a casting couch in his office, which I’m
assuming is x-rayted.
I always ask my chiropractor for a substantial disc count
on services. He’s so strong he’s built like a lumbar jack. He
bends me over backwards just to help me.
My podiatrist swept me off my feet the other night but I’m
wondering, who’s going to foot the bill? I’ll admit, my feet have
kept me an upstanding citizen all these years. Personally, I’ve
never metatarsal I didn’t like. I’d also like to thank my skeleton
for supporting me through thick and thin. Next month, my
jokes about the eye doctor will be cornea.
