She recalls witnessing the positive responses from customers about her parents’ cooking, which forever instilled in her a passion for the kitchen. When Le Cordon Bleu opened a culinary school in her hometown of Orlando, she graduated at the top of the inaugural class. At Sheraton Kona, Chef Gomez works in tandem with Executive Chef George Gomes, overseeing the culinary operations for the entire resort including Ray’s on the Bay, Aina Kai restaurant, Holua Poolside Bar & Lounge, Keauhou Bay Coffee Co., Haleo Luau, and banquets and private parties. She is currently collaborating on a new menu for Ray’s on the Bay, soon to be unveiled. She prides herself on creating memorable culinary experiences for patrons.
