Hawaii Tribune-Herald Thursday, November 23, 2017 3 Curried Lentil Soup in a Jar 2 jars In bottom of each jar, place: 8 ounces red lentils 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 3 tablespoons dried onion 1 tablespoon curry powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 8 ounces green lentils 1/2 cup dried apple rings (cut rings into pieces) 1 tablespoon dried parsley leaves Seal jars and place these instructions: Place lentil soup mix in 3-quart saucepan with 7 cups water. Heat to boiling on high. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes enough for 8 people.
