The hour of frenetic fun features physical comedy and feats of circus artistry, as Adkins turns everyday objects into props for his mind-boggling acrobatics. Adkins will bring his “Circus Incognitus” to Big Island audiences in two performances: at 7:30 p.m. today at the University of Hawaii at Hilo Performing Arts Center and 4 p.m. Saturday at Kahilu Theatre in Waimea. “It’s a show for all ages,” Adkins says. “I know every show says that but ‘Circus Incognitus’ is really entertaining on two levels. During the show, sometimes only the children are laughing, sometimes only the adults are laughing, but often, everyone laughs together. It’s a true family show.” During the past nine years, Adkins has performed the awardwinning “Circus Incognitus” more than 1,000 times in 25 different countries. This will be the last year he plans on touring this show and plans to create a new one in 2018. “It has been a really good run,” he says. “This show is still very fresh, even after nine years By KATIE YOUNG YAMANAKA Special to the Tribune-Herald See ANTICS Page 9
