A Warm Welcome for New
Chamber Members in Hawaii
The Kona-Kohala
Chamber of Commerce
(KKCC) welcomes new
members at monthly
networking events
called AfterHours.
Clad in kukui nut leis,
the Ambassadors focus
on making introductions,
connecting new
members to the existing
membership, and
explaining member
benefits and services.
“Ambassadors are
Chamber members who
like people and like
to have fun,” explains
Wendy Laros, Executive
Director of KKCC.
“They provide a warm
welcome to new members
and are an integral
part of our program.”
During the
AfterHours program,
new members introduce
themselves"on-“on stage"stage”
to
an audience of 80-100
West Hawaii business
leaders. This opportunity
is p art o f a starter
package designed to
increase exposure and
promote new members.
“AfterHours is the
perfect place to meet,
greet, and connect
with the business community,”
adds Laros.
“Building a professional
network is very important
to success - especially
here in Hawaii.”
