Your Chamber Connection ...
Aloha,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Hawaii
Island Chamber of Commerce 2018 Activity Special

of the Chamber and its
various committees.
For 120 years our
Chamber has been an
integral part of our community
as the voice of
business and important
to our island’s economy.
We continue to
support our business
members and together
we have promoted
economic well-being,
great products and services
to improve the
business climate. We
have nearly 300 business
members with more
than 700 employees.
The report makes it quick and easy for you to find out
about the Chamber, its members and our many events and
activities. We provide advocacy and support between our
members and lawmakers. We identify issues facing the
business community and engage in a collaborative approach.
Through our members’ expertise, relations and advocacy we
help build a stronger community, promote a more vibrant
economy, help create jobs and improve the quality of life.
Much Mahalo is owed our members for their
support, participation and involvement, and
I offer a very special Mahalo to the numerous
advertisers and sponsors of this report.
We invite you to participate in the activities and events
we have throughout the year. If you are not a member,
we invite you to join the Hawaii Island Chamber of
Commerce and help be a voice in building our community.
