HAWAI‘I ISLAND CHAMBER
Mahalo!
For more than a half century the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce has been
the community’s driving force in the development of world class astronomy on
Maunakea. Fifty years ago, astronomy helped rebuild Hilo’s economy following
the 1960 tsunami. Today, astronomy expands the boundaries of our knowledge
and employs a high tech Hawaii Island workforce.
