Noodle Club serves homemade desserts
PRIVATEER’S:
CONTINUED FROM PAGE 9A
Also on the menu, the heart clod
pub steak features coconut shrimp
and homemade Irish cream sauce. The
breaded chicken schnitzel is lightly
fried and finished with a lemon butter
sauce over potatoes, while the Axis
deer showcases wild Oregon mushroom
ravioli and Bolognese meat sauce from
northern Italy.
Privateer’s Cove features a fun, communal
atmosphere where customers
can watch the goings-on in the open
kitchen from their table, dispense their
own sodas and beverages, bring their
own booze, converse across the room
with Nick and his sous chefs, Mike and
Josh, or share tables with strangers if the
restaurant is full.
Seasoned with French black truffle oil,
the Mac & Cheese is an appetizer that
might well be called an entrée, featuring
a savory combination of American
Cheddar and French blue cheese. Another
great appetizer, the fried Italian breaded
mushrooms are topped with Hawaiian
chili-spiced Dijon. Additionally, the
bacon-wrapped stuffed fried shrimp is
a customer favorite, stuffed with spiced
cream cheese and crab.
A stalwart supporter of military veterans,
Privateer’s Cove donates a portion
of the profits from its American Legion
Special to American Legion Post #20
right here in Kona. This week’s American
Legion Special is the cheese tortellini
served in a sweet basil cream sauce.
Helping to raise money for Kealakehe
High School’s wrestling team, Privateer’s
Cove’s Waverider Wrestling Team Special
features New Zealand mussel with sharp
Cheddar cheese and blue crab.
Save room for dessert because the
choices are delicious. For only $6, choose
between crème brûlée, homemade mud
pie or cannoli.
To view the menu, visit the Privateer’s
Cove Facebook page, or call the restaurant
at 430-5550. Privateer’s Cove is
located off Kaiwi Street next to Broke Da
Mouth Grindz.

The Panna Cotta blends
almond milk and cream
simmered and slightly
thickened with gelatin.
A pièce de résistance,
the Dairy-Free Chocolate
