4 ONO-LICIOUS | FEBRUARY 17, 2017 Ruth’s Chris Steak House hosts Prisoner Wine Dinner on February 23 BY KAREN ANDERSON SPECIAL TO WEST HAWAII TODAY A multi-course wine dinner showcasing wines from the renowned Prisoner Wine Company will take place at Ruth’s Chris Steak House on Thursday, Feb. 23. The first in a series of National Wine dinners to be held at Ruth’s Chris this year, the February event will highlight five different varietals from Prisoner Wine Company, which collaborates with growers across California to source varietals from the best vineyards and appellations in the state. Wines will be paired with five sumptuous courses to include a full-steak entrée of 8-oz. filet mignon served sizzling on the plate in quintessential Ruth’s Chris style. The Prisoner lineup will include reds and whites, plus a white blend for the dessert course. February’s wine dinner is priced at $100 per person. Reservations can by made by calling Ruth’s Chris at 887-0800. The next five-course wine dinner in the series will happen on March 30, featuring wines from Daou Vineyards. On April 27, Macallan scotch whiskey will be the featured “spirit” dinner, followed on June 15 by wines from Château Montelena Winery in Napa Valley, California. On August 17, some of the world’s best champagnes will be paired with another great five-course meal at Ruth’s Chris. The National Wine Dinner series culminates on October 15 with Italian wines from Antinori in Florence.
