Showers and thunderstorms will extend along a cool front
stretching from Texas to Georgia and Maine today. Some of the storms can pack damag-
ing winds and flash flooding. Less humid air will expand over the North Central states.
Spotty storms are forecast to erupt over the interior West, ahead of building heat later in
