Courtesy photo Love support programs at Volcano Art Center the Arts Evening of food, drink and music planned to The Volcano Art Center will host its 13th annual Love the Arts fundraiser from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at the Niaulani Campus. In celebration of the theme “Singin’ in the Rainforest,” the center’s beautiful Hale Ho‘omana will be decked out with one-ofa kind umbrellas painted by Big Island artists. Guests will be treated to a fabulous evening of fine wine, brews, chocolate truffles, a gourmet buffet and spirited Hawaiian music. The live and silent auctions are not to be missed, with unique offerings including original artwork, jewelry, hotel stays, tours, local products and gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses. Each year, the auctions grow in size and reputation thanks to the generosity of people in the community. Support of this event allows the center to fund classes, exhibits and workshops and to offer creative arts experiences in Volcano’s uniquely nurturing and inspiring environment. Tickets are $55 for VAC members, $65 for nonmembers, and are available in advance at the center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village, the VAC Gallery in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and online at www.volcanoartcenter. org.
