10 Thursday, October 1, 2015 Island Beat Hawaii Tribune-Herald entertainment by The Project, Dru and Friends, Body and Soul and Ibis. New to the lineup this year is Patio Productions. The cast of Mary Poppins also will make a special appearance to sing “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” “This year’s varied lineup will cover Hawaiian music from Dru and Friends, ’60s rock ’n’ roll from Ibis, country/western music from Patio Productions, soul and rock from Body and Soul and retro ’80s and ’90s music from The Project,” says entertainment coordinator Randy Skaggs, who also is the director of instrumental music and the Fine Arts Department chair at St. Joseph School. Keiki will enjoy the variety of games to play, and there is outdoor excitement as well, including a jumping castle, laser tag, football throw, soccer kick, keiki train and dunk booth. In addition, pick up your favorite homemade baked goods, visit the “Repeat Boutique” for gently used clothes and toys, take home a new plant or fresh produce, get crafty at the arts and crafts booth, see the classic cars display, and bid on items in the silent auction. You also can enter the drawing for a chance to win the Country Fair’s grand prize: a two-night ocean-view stay at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. “Proceeds from the fair are going to the tuition assistance program, which benefits students from preschool through the 12th grade,” says Paekukui, adding that 65 percent of the school’s 307 students receive financial aid and tuition assistance. “The Country Fair has grown in attendance over the years, and people come from all over the island to experience a fun-filled day for the whole family.” FAIR From page 9 Courtesy photos The plants and produce booth.
