Whether petite filet or T-bone, sizzling steaks can be portioned individually to accommodate personal choice, including sliced up into bite-sized pupus for the entire table to share. Founded in New Orleans in 1965, Ruth’s Chris Steak House is known worldwide for succulent steaks served sizzling on the plate. Back in the day, founder Ruth Fertel perfected the art of broiling steaks at 1,800 degrees to retain the savory juices and mouthwatering flavors. To cook a perfectly seared steak, she would heat ceramic plates to 500 degrees, then add butter to create the famous sizzle as the plate is delivered hot out of the broiler from the kitchen to the table.
