Roy’s Waikoloa
Bar & Grill
My wife and I
along with our son,
daughter-in-law and
two grandchildren,
ages 10 and 12, spent
a special evening at
Roy’s. From start to
finish we completely
enjoyed the setting,
the service and the
food. We started with
a variety of drinks
that were excellent
and had a nice wine
with the meal. The
special service for the
kids was well done
and our food was
excellent. Our server
gave us the option of
pre-ordering a dessert
that would be freshly
made. We opted for
the hot chocolate
soufflé and the
pineapple upside down
cake, which quickly
disappeared as the six
of us shared them.
We started with
chicken spring roll
appetizers and the
Flying Dragon roll and
they were unique and
delicious. All of us had
a seafood choice and
they all were excellent
and well presented.
Our server was
informed and friendly
and stopped by
frequently to check
our needs and pour
our pinot grigio. We
had an unhurried
meal in a beautiful
waterside location.

IHOP
We have not eaten at
an IHOP for years, but it
was early afternoon and
we wanted breakfast.
The food was
very good, both my
wife and I had the
sampler. Way exceeded
expectations. Service
was outstanding, the
wait staff so friendly
and happy. Restaurant
was very clean. Very
glad we ate here.

The view here is
amazing and takes
in a long stretch of
coastline and ocean
horizon. The menu is
first rate and I’ve always
found the service
to be friendly and
consistent. They are
obviously well-trained.

Charley’s Thai

MarketPlace
We stopped at
Charley’s on the way
to Kona and had a
wonderful lunch. We
ordered Kalbi(Korean
BBQ Ribs). It came with
rice and green papaya
salad. We also had Thai
Iced Tea. Everything
on their menu looks
good, but we really
enjoyed the Kalbi and
would order it again.

Good fish and chips - a
good amount for your
money. You can eat by
the water and watch the
Koi fish swim around.
Very relaxing there.

Lemongrass Express
is our favorite restaurant
in Queens Marketplace
by far. Outstanding
pan-Asian menu, with
decent portions and
prices, great quality and
presentation. Try the
garlic chicken stir-fry.
