Dairy Queen/Orange Julius at Queen’s Marketplace “This is inside at the food court area in Queens Market. You just can’t beat a Banana Split Blizzard on a hot day!” Paradise44, Barrington, Illinois Holua Poolside Bar & Lounge “I’ve styled at this Sheraton hotel many times during the Ironman race in October. The hotel is great and this bar is great by the pool. Good service if you are sitting by the pool or want to grab a quick drink at the bar. They also have a limited food menu. Service is quick and the drinks are cool.” JD L., Los Angeles, CA Lemongrass Express “The restaurant is located in the food court at the Queens Shops in the Waikoloa resort area. For a food court setting, it might not be where one would find a culinary discovery. It’s an attractive smartly set up nook restaurant with bar seating as a central focus. I was taking two friends out , and wanted something interesting , tasty, and spicy. As I know the chef, ‘TK’ for short , as his Laotian name is hard to pronounce. He personally came out to greet me, ( a charming personable young man) . Check out our $8.95 Lunch Specials Mon-Friday 11am-2:30pm Located at the Keauhou Shopping Center Mon-Fri 11am-9pm Sat-Sun 12pm-9pm 322.8424 www.RoyalThaiCafe.com I asked him to fix several dishes for the three of us to share. I left it up to him. In minutes we had a spicy Tom yum shrimp soup, absolutely tasty! Then came in quick succession, a pork belly dish was so delicious, my favorite. Then a coconut based chicken pho noodle dish, which was good, a bit on the bland and thin sauce consistency, but still very well done. I don’t quite remember the third dish, a double cooked beef dish served with rice, it also was so good, we ate almost everything , and had food to take home! My two friends were totally impressed with the taste, presentation and service of the delicious Thai food. The prices , tho not cheap for a food court type restaurant, is situated in a high end vacation resort shopping area, was less expensive than resort hotel prices. Our bill for four dishes (no drinks) came to approx. $ 67.00, still fairly reasonable for the quality of the dishes for three adults. We would definitely come back, one of the best meals I’ve had out in a long time! Chef TK is a talented restaurantaur and very successful! You have got to give this hidden gem a try, you won’t be disappointed, tell them Henry sent u!” henry w, Waikoloa, Hawaii
