Island Fish N’ Chips This little out of the way restaurant is a gem and can be found on the backside of the King’s Shops Mall. They served the BEST Fish and Chips and there is plenty of waterside outdoor seating. I recently had the Tempura Vegetables and they were far better than I anticipated. Large wedges of Carrots, Zucchini, and Purple Sweet Potatoes were fried to perfection. Also yummy were the fried Bananas, more of a dessert but just as tasty. Su4Style, Bismark ND Island Gourmet Market Yes, this place has such a wide and varied menu with long hours, you can eat all your meals there, or take the food out. Breakfast is so popular you had better get one of the outdoor tables before they are gone. Good Kona coffee is there as well. They will make virtually anything you request, and give you a nice large portion. Want your bacon extra crispy? Rest assured you will get it that way. The subs are very good, and the pizza’s they make are also very tasty. There is a wine bar inside as well, to where you can order quality wine by the glass, along with draft beer like Kona Longboard. They will even bring you the food inside after it is prepared. Overall this is a good place to get some food whether you are on the go, or don’t feel like going to a fancy restaurant. Vector123, Miami, FL Roy’s Waikoloa We spent our last meal in the islands at Roy’s last evening. I am not much of a fish person but I was truly wowed by the experience. From the atmosphere to the highest level of server and support staff to the food-yes, the food, it was way beyond what we expected. I recommend the prix fixe approach. You can get it with or without accompanied wine. Yes, the fish was delicious. Cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. So, if are ever in the Waikoloa area on the Big Island, don’t pass it up. You’ll regret it. Jeff K.
