New breakfast
items at Denny’s
BY KAREN ANDERSON
SPECIAL TO WEST HAWAII TODAY
With summer brings great new additions to the
Denny’s Kona breakfast menu. The roster of Premium
Craft pancakes is highlighted by the all-new Strawberry
Citrus pancakes featuring two buttermilk pancakes
topped with fresh strawberry sauce and whipped cream.
You can either order your pancakes a la carte, or have
your pancakes served with two sunny-side-up eggs and
hash browns, plus your choice of two bacon strips or
two sausage links and a side of warm citrus sauce.
The new Tres Leches pancakes are coated with cinnamon
sugar and topped with a scoop of horchata ice
cream. Meanwhile, the Dulce de Leches Crunch pancakes
are topped with whipped cream and a cinnamon
crumb topping that is actually cooked into the buttermilk
pancakes.
Not to be outdone, the new Tres Leches milkshake
features thick, creamy hand-dipped milkshake made
with premium vanilla ice cream blended with tres
leches sauce and cinnamon sugar, then topped with
whipped cream sprinkled with even more cinnamon
sugar.
Kamaaina residents and aficionados of local fare
will appreciate Denny’s Kona “Local Favorites” menu,
offering such popular breakfast items as loco moco,
Hawaiian pineapple omelet, SPAM and eggs or loco
sandwich.
Open 24/7, Denny’s Kona is located at Crossroads
Shopping Center on Henry Street. For info, call
