Al Vicolo Italian Restaurant
Authentic, homemade Italian food that
is located away from all of the hustle and
bustle of the hotels. The pastas are their
specialty and there are a ton to choose from!
I had the Cacio E Pepe and Amatriciana and
loved them both. The cool thing is that you
can request a specific pasta noodle for each
dish. Very friendly service in a well decorated
setting. Come support this local business!

The food was really good, I had the
Ono and loved it. The others had fish
taco, burger and the tomahawk pork; no
complaints. The wine and drinks were
reasonably priced and the atmosphere
was good. Loved the live music, not too
loud if you’re worried. The highlight was
the manta rays gliding effortlessly in front
of the restaurant - going again tonight.

Noodle Club
Out of all the traditional and non-traditional
bowls of ramen I’ve had, the ones
at Noodle Club are by far the best I’ve eaten.
Everything is flavorful and you can tell that
it’s all house made with plenty of care. In my
last visit, I had a fusion ramen with laulau
and kalua pork, and it was an experience! It
had so much umami and different elements
working together to make the perfect fusion
of a Japanese-Hawaiian dish. Not to mention,
the servers are friendly and attentive! Oh,
the desserts are also prime as I never come
here without ordering the panna cotta.

Bongo Ben’s Island Café
We were promptly seated by a friendly
hostess, had a great balcony view of the
ocean. Breakfast was wonderful. The
chorizo omelet was the perfect spice
with lots of vegetables topped with sour
cream. A little pricey but worth it. Served
with potatoes. The tropical fruit waffles
were very tasty and served with plenty of
fruit. Service was prompt and the food
delivered quickly. As always the Kona
coffee was very good. Loved this place!!

A-Bay’s Island Grill at Kings’ Shops
This restaurant/ bar is a total gem! My
husband and I did happy hour here and
the food and drinks were excellent! We
ordered the fish tacos and onion rings
and they were both made from scratch
good! We sat at the bar and Quin was
so good to us! He recommended some
drinks to try and they were delicious! I
also had a good old-fashioned Mai tai
and it was strong and amazing! We will
go back before we leave the island!

We made it a goal to hit as many
restaurants as we could on this
vacation, but we ended up going here
3 times.... It was sooooo good!

at Queens’ MarketPlace
My husband and I came here looking for
a quick bite. I had the pork katsu and he
ordered the Ahi poke bowl. We were really
surprised to get such an amazing meal
in a food court type place!! The service
was quick and we were eating within 10
minutes of ordering. Very reasonable
prices. So glad we found this place!

Privateer’s Cove
What a great authentic place! Come
on in to a group of friend’s kitchen and
enjoy their food. While enjoying food,
enjoy some laughs! I had the best mac
and cheese I have ever had whilst here.
It is a must get when you are here!
Just an FYI. Make a reservation!

Bistro at the Waikoloa
Luxury Cinemas
As residents of Waikoloa we like to
frequent new businesses here on the Big
Island. One of our new favorites is the Bistro
at the Cinema in the Queens’ Marketplace
at Waikoloa Beach Resort. The theaters are
great but the restaurant is the real star in
our eyes. Love the double cheeseburger,
fish tacos and the oversize draft beer.
The live music adds to the environment.
Lots of great restaurants here in Waikoloa
but the Bistro is our new favorite.
