Great service, great
food. I love that I can
have dinner and a movie
— literally. You can
bring food delivered to
your seat and alcohol.
Only cinema in the
area, so cool. Love it.

Foster’s Kitchen
We recently enjoyed
a lovely sunset dinner
at Foster’s Kitchen, and
were very pleased by
the quality of the meal
and the good service.
We began with the
bruschetta appetizer
and a Stairway to
Heaven cocktail. If you
love pina coladas, you’ve
got to try this one! Our
entrees included the
Cajun shrimp pasta —
fantastic! With fresh
mushrooms & grape
tomatoes in a creamy
Cajun spiced sauce,
large shrimp & perfectly
al dente penne, and
also the fresh fish of
the day, which was
lightly grilled and served
with a nice dill sauce
and sides of roasted
seasonal veggies and
rustic mashed potatoes.
The atmosphere is
lively with an open-air
balcony facing the ocean
and bustling Alii Drive.
Definitely time your
arrival to take advantage
of the gorgeous Kailua-
Kona sunsets. Prices
were a little on the higher
end of the scale, but for
a special experience
it was worth it. We
highly recommend.

A-Bay’s Island Grill
at Kings’ Shops
A must stop every
time we are here. The
Swordfish tacos are
always great as well
as the Kale chop! We
are hooked on our
favorites, but everything
that comes out of the
kitchen looks delicious.
Very good service too!

Starbucks at
Queens’ MarketPlace
One of my favorite
Starbucks. Staff is
always friendly and
helpful. Store is small
with limited seating
inside and small
amount of seating
outside. Restroom is in
the mall area. The inside
is clean and the napkin
area always clean and
well stocked. Glad that
Starbucks supports
vegans with non-dairy
milks. The Kona pour
over is a treat you can
find at this location.
They also have bags of
Kona beans available.

Rays on the Bay
I really enjoyed eating
here. You are able
to watch the Manta
Rays while eating
dinner. I also like the
entertainment and our
waitress Emily was
really great. I had the
“Da Burger” and liked
the BBQ. I also enjoyed
the rocking chairs. The
food is decent but you
go for the atmosphere.

Privateer’s Cove
These guys take the
pirate theme seriously!
Daily changing menu
and very personalized
service. BYOB or grab
a drink next door and
bring it over. Love the
duck and the venison
bolognese on our
recent visit. No frills.
No pretension. And
NO CELL PHONES
Allowed. Small place
so reservations
are a good idea.

Noodle Club
Best pho I ever had
and the only place that
offers a big bone of
delicious marrow! Even
without the marrow the
soup base was sweet
with a nice blend of pho
and ramen style flavors.
Wish I had time to go
back and try the other
yummy items on the
menu. Like the other
ramen noodle soups
and fried noodles too!
Will definitely be back
when visiting Waimea.

Ice cream at its
best. Delicious. Very
friendly and custom
service. There was a
nice variety of additives
to choose from, all of
which are no extra cost.

Sunnyside, WA
Known for stellar sunset dining
above Keauhou Shopping Center, Sam
Choy’s Kai Lanai is the place to go for a
memorable dinner with a view.
Dinner is served nightly until 9 p.m.
Whether popular pupus like baby-back
ribs marinated in coconut char
siu glaze, or Kona-style chicken wings
lightly fried in crispy panko, the many
menu items are sure to entice.
According to Sam Choy’s manage-ment,
the most popular dinner entrées
include the braised short ribs, the Kona
Orange Duck, and Sam’s Trio of Fresh
Fish.
At Sam Choy’s Kai Lanai, at least
three to five species of fresh fish are
available every night. From opa and
ono to mahi mahi, monchong and ahi,
the array of delicious seafood is sourced
right here in Kona from local fishermen.
Sam’s Trio of Fresh Fish is prepared
three unique styles and garnished with
shiitake mushroom cream sauce and
pineapple papaya marmalade.
Boneless short ribs are slow cooked
Sam’s way. Meanwhile, the Kona
Orange Duck is roasted with five-star
spice, soy, and Big Island orange sauce,
topped with honey and macadamia
nuts. Another popular offering, the full
rack of Oriental lamb is broiled to
order, marinated with cilantro, soy, gin-ger,
and Hawaiian pepper.
Sam’s lunch specialties are served
daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you visit
Sam Choy’s for cocktails and appe-tizers,
the Short Bait Bar provides a
casual niche for patrons to enjoy hap-py-
hour cocktails from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Breakfast is served on Saturday and
Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For information, call Sam Choy’s Kai
Lanai at 333-3434.
