So seriously, in fact, that the restaurant obtains all of its noodles from Sun Noodles, the Japanese noodle company based on Oahu that is renowned nationwide for its top-quality noodles. Serving bowls of warm, savory ramen blended with choice ingredients, Daiichi Ramen simmers all its broths in-house overnight for at least 12 hours. The family-owned restaurant prides itself on utilizing fresh products from Big Island farmers. Everything on the menu is made to order. Family owned and operated, Daiichi Ramen boasts six locations statewide, five of which are on Oahu. The Kailua-Kona restaurant, which opened at Kona Commons in April to much fanfare, is the only neighbor-island location for this popular eatery founded in 2000 in Aiea.
