Your Foodie Guide t to great eating in West Hawaii ONO-LICIOUS!August 11, 2017 Ruth’s Chris Steak House to host Champagne Taste Maker Dinner, Thursday Champagne corks will be popping at Ruth’s Chris Steak House on Thursday, Aug. 17 when first-class pairings take center stage at the upcoming Ruth’s Taste Maker Dinner. Three iconic Champagne houses will be featured: Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Ruinart. Sparkling wine from Domaine Chandon, of California is also on the roster. Part of restaurant’s series of winemaker dinners held throughout the year, the Champagne event promises to be the most celebratory yet, said Joe Gorman, general manager of Ruth’s Chris Steak House at the Shops at Mauna Lani. “In the past, we’ve hosted special Champagne dinners where all five courses were paired with Verve Clicquot,” said Joe. “This year, we are mixing it up and are featuring several different vintner houses as part of the dinner.” To be paired with Domaine Chandon Brut Classic, the first course will feature Butternut Squash Ravioli and Sage Mascarpone Sauce. For the delicious second course, Black Truffle Soup, White Truffle Flan and Parmesan shortbread will be paired with Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label. A crispy Medjool Date & Goat Cheese Salad will be the highlight of the third course, paired with Moët & Chandon Moët Imperial.
