Presented Monday and Friday evenings, the story of Haleo, the Voice of Life, showcases the history of Keauhou and the historic areas that surround the resort. From the birthplace of Kamehameha III at Keauhou Bay to the beginnings of surfing at Heeia Bay, the area’s significance to Hawaiian history is honored at the Haleo Luau, which takes visitors on a journey in time that is both entertaining and educational. As the sun begins to set on the horizon, the Haleo Luau begins. Prior to the show, guests are greeted with aloha and have the opportunity to meet the dancers, musicians and entertainers to talk story. An abundance of local cuisine reflects the bounty of Hawaii Island.
