4 ONO-LICIOUS | AUGUST 4, 2017 Word on the Str(eat)! Sansei Seafood & Sushi Bar You can’t beat Sansei for sushi. We are here all 4 nights while on the Big Island. Staff are fabulous, including bartenders and the ladies at the front of the house. The manager, Patrick, couldn’t have been more gracious. Don’t miss out on some of the house specialties including the panko crusted ahi roll, shrimp dynamite and foie gras nigiri. A great menu that offers a great variety of options! Highly recommend the goat cheese salad and the Macadamia Nut Pie for dessert! drewbethjack Noodle Club I will drive two hours to eat here. Service, impeccable, food, divine. I had a touch of Seoul ramen. The soup base and ingredients were evenly portioned and complimented each other. The Hamakua Coffee Press was not acidic but was delicious. This is coming from a guy who likes to have cream and sugar with coffee on the side. The Yuzu dessert was delicious. A definite will dine at again. Kombi N. Hilo The Koa Table The menu was varied and all Food sampled was delicious. The lumpia were crispy and moist. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, the potatoes served with them were awesome. The curry had a nice spice to it but it wasn’t too hot. Ask for some old bread to feed the koi off the back patio. Your kids will love you for it! D. Michael W. San Ramon A-Bay’s Island Grill We ate dinners here 2 times during our stay at the nearby Waikoloa Beach Resort and loved both times! The servers were very friendly and the food was delicious - definitely much better than at our resort! We had drinks and appetizers the first night (the poke and the seafood crab cakes are AMAZING!) and the second night we had drinks and entrees. Even my 16 year old daughter had no complaints. The server recommendations were definitely on point and we enjoyed the live music too. We sat on the patio both nights. Brenda M. Rancho Santa Margarita, CA Los Habaneros We ate here for lunch one day on our way to go scuba diving. We both ordered vegetable burritos, and were able to customize them with extra cheese or sour cream. They were filling and delicious - the vegetables were great. Both the black beans and the refried beans were vegetarian. It was quick and yummy. Alison M. Portland, OR Island Fish & Chips My daughter and I jumped over there from our hotel for a quick lunch and we loved the fish and chips we got! It was fresh and made to order and not expensive at all. The vinegar on it was great and we ate at the little gazebo out back overlooking the pond with huge fish. With a light breeze on the Hawaiian island, who could ask for a better place to eat their fish and chips! Delicious!! 522gagliano Senoia, GA Island Gourmet Markets From fabulous fish and local meat, to great tropical fruits, bento boxes, sushi, sandwiches, this place rocks. Prices not cheap, but less than eating at restaurants. Also has everything you need for the island: sandals, swim gear, sunscreen, bathing suits, cover ups at great prices. Judysf San Francisco, CA Sam Choy’s Kai Lanai This is a great restaurant to eat at, but whats even better is the view and the view of the sunset around 7 pm. The food was good for the price. The kid’s menu had big items and some of them were more authentic, like Hawaiian soups, and it was only $5! If you want to eat near Kona and also want a great view, come to Sam Choy’s. joepress101 San Jose, CA i Your ı… o Se D All Fresh Baked Desserts, Breads, Biscuits & Buns 75-5819 ALI’I DR. • 329-9203 KAILUA-KONA • INFO@BONGOBENS.COM
