Served at A-Bay’s Island Grill, the Kilawin Poke is listed first on the restaurant’s Aloha Tapas menu. This delish dish features red onion, avocado, calamansi and won ton chips. ■ Daiichi Ramen Our last meal in Hawaii on our way to the airport and it was so so good. We can’t get ramen much where we live, so we always like to try some when traveling. We hit happy hour and got the spicy ramen with the free ghost, and one of the special combos with a small ramen, curry and rice and katsu. The combo was so much food for the price! The spicy ramen was the tastiest. Lauren C. Jackson MS Sansei Seafood, Steak & Sushi Bar You can’t beat Sansei for sushi. We are here all 4 nights while on the Big Island. Staff are fabulous, including bartenders and the ladies at the front of the house. The manager, Patrick, couldn’t have been more gracious. Don’t miss out on some of the house specialties including the panko crusted ahi roll, shrimp dynamite and foie gras nigiri. V.K. Oakland, CA Sam Choy’s Kai Lanai Went therefor dinner as the sun was setting - the view was amazing. We were with our two boys and all four of us had no issue finding things we loved. The Brie wontons were perfectly done. I had the tuna fish with wasabi sauce along with mashed potatoes. It was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Great flavor as well as not too heavy. The boys liked there food as well - good options for them. Damien L. York Island Gourmet Markets This is a great place to grab food and go. Take the whole family and they can each pick what they want so everyone’s happy! Premade food as well as food made to order. Lots of options from every cuisine. This is also a fresh produce supermarket and bakery. They also have a great wine, beer and liquor selection that is reasonably priced. There are also souvenirs and collectibles. One stop shop for sure! Courtney H. Lemongrass Express Excellent food … nice portions. Nice environment and friendly staff. We’ve had take out and eaten in…highly recommend! Laurie M.
