LEI, TIM, & SHAY are my favorites and my usual drink ALWAYS comes out the way it’s suppose to be ALL THE TIME when those 3 make it! Gottah love that place!!! Be V. Waimea Hawaiian Fish N Chips Solid performance for a food court!! We had a “fish n’ chips” and a seared ahi salad here when we found out that nearby Sansei Sushi was only open for dinner. Based on the Yelp! reviews, we decided to take a chance and were not disappointed. Food is made to order and comes out pretty fast. The batter on the Ono fried fish was tempura-style and the fish was very tasty. (Fries were also pretty good…) we really liked the ahi, which was fresh and definitely only seared. The salad that came with the ahi was super fresh, local lettuce, grape tomatoes, and cucumbers. Don’t let the food court freak you out - this place is good for a quick bite if you are busy running around and don’t want to slow down - it’s far better than the Italian chain restaurant nearby… Alex D. We decided to give it another try but only if that loud chatty waitress wasn’t hovering over a diner’s table with her nonstop prattle. This time our waitress was Jade. She was an exemplary example of what a server should be. If you go to Kona, this restaurant is hands down the best with affordable prices. I ordered the chicken soup and grilled fish tostado. The taste, quality, quantity and presentation were all superior. My husband ordered a chicken enchilada and burrito which he said were outstanding.
