The impressive menu, created by Chef Sheldon Meza, combines Creole influences with fresh Hawaiian ingredients. Chef Sheldon continues his innovative ways with recent additions to the entrée and appetizer menus. The ultimate comfort meal, the all-new Country Fried Pork Chops (priced at $24 and available during dinner hours only) are lightly seasoned and served over mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal sautéed vegetables. Adding to the savory goodness, the pork chops are accompanied by Kona Coffee “Red Eye” gravy and caramelized Maui onions. A new appetizer on the tantalizing roster of popular pupus, the grilled Chardonnay Garlic Calamari ($14) is marinated in fresh herbs, Chardonnay and garlic, then served with grilled white truffle lemon and basil-infused oil. Not only is the new calamari appetizer a lightly seasoned mouthwatering delight, it’s also gluten free, as are many of the menu items at Foster’s Kitchen. From flatbread pizzas and steakhouse pasta to Cajun fish tacos and ahi stir-fry, the scratch-made offerings at Foster’s Kitchen highlight local products, non-GMO ingredients, hormone-free meat and grass-fed beef. All of the sauces, condiments and dressings are made in-house. Organic ingredients also take center stage. One of the restaurant’s biggest sellers, the fresh-baked Seafood Pesto Puff Pastry ($13) showcases Chef Sheldon’s talents as a former pastry chef. There’s also the gluten-free Blackened Shrimp Cheese Grits served with rainbow chard sautéed with bacon and onions, not to mention the gluten-free 12-oz. grass-fed Ribeye steak. Not to be outdone, the cocktail menu features proprietary concoctions handcrafted with fresh juice, handmade syrups and no added preservatives or commercial mixes. New to the roster of libations is the Stairway To Heaven, a heavenly mix of Rumhaven coconut rum, Stoli Vanilla and handcrafted Foster’s Kitchen serves up gourmet offerings at affordable prices.
