In addition to the vast array of breakfast, lunch and dinner items on its regular menu, Bongo Ben’s also serves up nightly specials that are sizeable, delicious, affordable and suitable for sharing. One of the most popular specials happens on Tuesday nights with the spaghetti-and-meatballs special slathered in homemade marinara sauce and accompanied by toasted garlic bread for $13.95. If BBQ ribs are what you’re craving, come to Bongo Ben’s on Monday nights to devour a plate of thick, meaty ribs marinated in Hawaiian barbecue sauce and served with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. The portions are so generous that the ribs actually spill over the side of the plate. Other specials that can appear on the menu on any given night include a seafood platter, surf ‘n’ turf, chicken flautas, and NY steak prepared with Bourgogne sauce. There’s also a NY steak seasoned with Kona Coffee crusted rub. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are Prime Rib Night at Bongo Ben’s. Whether the 10-oz. prime rib for $26.95, or an 8-oz. prime rib for 23.95, both entrées are served with garlic-mashed potatoes, seasoned vegetables and island-fresh salad. Thick and juicy, the prime rib is slow roasted for three-and-a-half hours, and flavored with a simple seasoned rub.
