Your Foodie Guide t to great eating in West Hawaii ONO-LICIOUS!February 3, 2017 Foster’s Kitchen presents special Valentine’s Day menu for dinner Dessert features cherry-almond poundcake with vanilla ice cream Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Foster’s Kitchen is the perfect spot to enjoy a romantic dinner for two in downtown Kailua-Kona. Chef Sheldon Meza will be preparing a special, three-course dinner that includes spinach-artichoke dip appetizer served with toasted focaccia, plus an entrée choice of either grilled ribeye or fresh catchof the-day topped with garlic and basil shrimp buerre blanc. The entrée is accompanied with mashed potatoes and seasonal sautéed vegetables. For dessert, Chef Sheldon will put his pastry-chef skills front and center when he bakes a delicious, cherry-almond poundcake served with vanilla ice cream. The aforementioned specials will be available in addition to the regular menu at Foster’s Kitchen, which is located at Coconut Grove MarketPlace overlooking the sand volleyball court on Ali‘i Drive. Since its grand opening last October, Foster’s Kitchen attracts visitors and residents alike to the hip and casual venue, which features Hawaiian plantation /farmhouse interiors, a custom-built mango cocktail bar and wine racks, a barn-door entrance, oak tables and a designer color scheme.
