It is amazing to reflect on the fact that the Hawaii Island Chamber is currently in its 118th year of service to our business members and community at large. The Hawaii Island Chamber is proud to represent more than 300 businesses and professionals of innovation on Hawaii Island. The Chamber’s mission is to help businesses and promote Hawaii Island. We provide leadership via services and advocacy for business to promote the economic well-being of the community. Our membership works collectively to fulfill our mandate to be the voice of business of East Hawaii and beyond, in a way that truly reflects who we are as a local, homegrown community. Being the voice of business means to: • Promote the economic well-being of our island, its products and services. • Influence legislation and policy through advocacy. • Voice our Island’s concerns to state, national and other local Chambers. • Identify issues facing the business community and collaboratively works toward solutions. • Sponsor seminars and programs to help members hone their skills to conduct better business. • Keep members informed with data on trends, legislation and developments. • Support and cultivate opportunities for growth for the next generation of community leaders. Today, being the voice of business is much more challenging than it has ever been. However, with challenges, there exists opportunities before us that are truly worthy of pursuing.
