Due to popular demand, this year’s section is bigger than ever — 52 pages celebrating the best people, places and things that the windward side of the Big Island has to offer. The winners in each category were selected by you, our readers. Nearly 30,000 votes were cast this year, both online and on ballots that appeared in the newspaper, proving once again that there’s no shortage of opinion when it comes to selecting “the best.” These annual awards continue to be a prestigious accolade.
