It won’t be her last. Near the end of the year, Yada reached the third stage of LPGA Q-school, and then she secured an alternate spot on the tour for 2017. Kurokawa could have been the Athlete of the Week a handful of times in 2016. e hard-throwing right-hander put up big numbers for the Vulcans, and he was rewarded by being selected by Philadelphia Phillies in the MLB dra . But perhaps Kurokawa’s greatest accomplishment is that he tuned his home starts into an event in Hilo. It would have been a shame if Tokunaga le Kamehameha without being honored at least once. Not to worry. Tokunaga pitched the Warriors to the BIIF Division II title in each of her four years and was named league Player of the Year each time.
