Hawaii Tribune-Herald ‘International Nights’ bridges cultures with diverse entertainment Atradition more than four decades old spotlights diversity by highlighting the many different cultures of University of Hawaii at Hilo international students. There are about 260 international students from 35 different countries attending UH-Hilo. “This event gives these students an opportunity to share their cultures and their countries with the campus and local community,” says Jim Mellon, International Student Services director. The UH-Hilo International Student Association presents “International Nights” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the UH-Hilo Performing Arts Center. This year’s shows feature 15 different performances from Asia, the Pacific and Europe.
