Take, for example, her latest collaboration: to perform in Honokaa her first album created with another artist featuring songs cowritten and sung by the two of them. The album, “Silver Skies Blue,” features duets with singer-songwriter Ari Hest. It was released June 3 and garnered critical acclaim, receiving a Grammy nomination for “Best Folk Album.” “Silver Skies Blue” features more than 11 original songs. “It came together in a lovely way, and I was as stunned as anybody when we got a Grammy nomination,” Collins says. “It’s good and it’s timely.
